Evolve™ LED Area Lights
GE Lighting
EFM was asked to create a linear digital demonstration for GE’s new LED Area Lights. The GE Evolve™ LED Area Lights saves energy, reduces maintenance costs, improves visual acuity and is environmentally conscientious. This demo included both Flash Animation, 3D and professional VO to highlight these product attributes.
In addition, EFM developed an online calculator tool to provide real cost estimates for updating an existing outdoor lighting system with the GE Evolve™ LED Area Lights. The tool provides a financial summary of what you can expect to save when retrofitting or specifying for new construction. You can also view the Eco energy summary to see exactly how you can reduce your environmental impact after installing this product. GE was so happy with the design and usability that they have decided to model future calculator tools after this one.

Perform in the Storm
Human Performance Institute
The Human Performance Institute partnered with EFM to create a microsite, direct mail, and email series that promoted the HPI Courses and motivated executives by showing them that they indeed have the strength and resilience to lead their teams and safeguard their companies in a crisis using lessons learned from their Corporate Athlete® Course.
Using custom photographs showing executives and athletes together, EFM created an HTML email and lenticular direct mail series that was sent to 5,000 contacts using a third-party email marketing program. The series directed recipients to a microsite with a powerful animation and an offer for a free copy of The Corporate Athlete Advantage by HPI co-founder, Jim Loehr. When site visitors requested their free copy of the book, they were also able to request follow up from an HPI team member and leave testimonials about how the program has affected them.
The book arrived in custom packaging that reflected the site of the design, including an animated lenticular postcard, animated lenticular bookmark, metallic packaging label, and custom flier promoting upcoming HPI courses.

Smart Control System E-Learning
Rain Bird Irrigation
Rain Bird is the world’s largest manufacturer of irrigation equipment for homes and commercial use. In 2009, they turned to EFM to create an online training program for a complex new irrigation control system, the ESP-SMT. EFM devised a thorough, hour long training course that made complex ideas seem simple. Since mid 2009, 1,240 irrigation professionals have taken the training course, rating its effectiveness an average of 4.6 out of 5. The training program also collected a wealth of useful data for Rain Bird, including customer contact information, purchasing habits, and their performance on several quizzes. The training program has been viewed as a great success, helping to make the ESP-SMT one of the most successful launches in the company’s history. Additional online training courses are in the works.

A Season of Giving
EFM
With the holiday season approaching and a rebrand being developed EFM was eager to show some fun holiday spirit by producing a trilogy of sites for the agency. After an internal brainstorm the team decided to focus the theme around holiday cheer plus arts and crafts. EFM produced a flash site for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas with small easter eggs along the way. In addition EFM partnered with the San Diego Food Bank and created a Facebook campaign entitled “Become an EFM Facebook, We’ll Donate a Can” that resulted in over 500 meals donated.
